One award of up to £5,000 will be available for a project that addresses a clinically relevant question and has the potential to improve patient care and everyday dental practice. Research may include, but is not restricted to, prevention, minimal intervention dentistry, restorative care, evaluation of restorative materials and techniques, patient centred outcomes, and innovations that enhance the delivery of primary dental care.
Dental professionals working in UK primary dental care are invited to apply. Whilst applications are welcome from clinicians and researchers working in primary dental care, it is anticipated that a research team will include other practice members. Up to 50% of the award may be used to support the time/work of a researcher.
Applications should summarise the background, aims and methodology of the research proposal and the role to be played by the applicant(s) in the study. The way in which the award will support the investigation must be specified together with details of funding requested.
