Iain Chapple is Professor of Periodontology, consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Director of research for the Institute of Clinical Sciences, College of Medical and Dental Sciences at the University of Birmingham UK. Iain is Honorary Treasurer of the ODRT.
His research interests involve the infectious and immunological processes in periodontal diseases, periodontal-systemic disease links and novel diagnostic solutions.
He was IADR Distinguished Scientist in Periodontal Research 2018, has published >250 manuscripts, 10 textbooks and 33 book chapters and over £7.5M in research grants.
